Mom & Dad
There are no words that can heal you.
There is nothing in this world that you can take in your hands to stuff into the void that you feel.
The pain that the rest of us feel is from the loss of someone who gave us such great love.
Somehow this little package of immense love that we knew as David came from you
So I don't think we could ever understand the worry or fear, the hurt or frustration you may have felt at times during the last 31 years.
But what you're feeling now, no apology or sorrow can help and I'm sorry for that.
I hope that the little bit of wisdom I gained in having had the blessing
of truly knowing all the faces of love that your son offered me can be of some value to you guys.
I don't know if that's now or later. Just know that I'm with you always.
Just as you've always been there for me!
I love you
Grief is a paradox. It's the bittersweet echo of love, a symphony of cherished memories played against the discordant notes of loss. It can leave you breathless, your heart a fragile bird trapped in a ribcage suddenly too vast.
Here's the thing about love: it's the most powerful force in the universe, capable of weaving galaxies and mending broken hearts. And when that love is lost, the weight of its absence can feel immense, like a star collapsing into a black hole, its gravity warping the very fabric of your being.
But even in the crushing darkness of grief, remember this: the intensity of your pain is a testament to the depth of your love. It's the flip side of the same coin. The one who brought you laughter and sunlight is the same one who leaves behind a gaping hole in your world.
So go ahead, let the tears fall. Cry until your throat is raw and your chest aches. For in those tears, you release the pressure, the unspoken words, the weight of your love. Let the storm rage, for only then can the sun peek through the clouds once more.
Remember, grief is not a race to the finish line. It's a winding path, a journey through the labyrinth of loss. There will be days when you stumble, when the memories hit you like a tidal wave. But there will also be days when you find solace in the whispers of the wind, in the warmth of sunshine on your skin, in the laughter of loved ones who share your sorrow.
